John Clay Martin Jr., 60

John Clay Martin Jr., 60, of Means, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024.
Born Nov. 18, 1963, in Mt. Sterling, he was the son of John Clay Martin Sr. and the late Virginia Faye Hatton.  He was of the Pentecostal faith, a carpenter and mechanic.  He loved to fish, hunt and visit with his family.  Working on his hot rods was his favorite hobby. 
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Dennis of Means; father, John Clay Martin Sr. (Marsha); sons, Larry Wayne Martin (Kayla) of Frenchburg and Harold Clay Martin (Amber) of Jeffersonville; daughter, Xena Lynn Martin (Christian Durbin) of Winchester; brother, Ronnie Martin of Mt. Sterling; sisters, Janice Faye Martin of Mt. Sterling, and Evora Delaine Crawford (Roy) of Preston; and grandchildren, Brooklynn Dawn Harvey, Jacey May Lewis, River Dean Martin, Rayne Faye Durbin, Everleigh Clay Martin, Lillian Rose Martin, Lydia Rayne Martin, Savannah Faith Weaver, Emily Grace Weaver and McKenzie Aliyah Bush.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Franklin Martin. 
Service was conducted Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Frenchburg.  Burial was in Lovely Amburgey Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Xena Martin, Larry Martin, Christian Durbin, Joseph Weisenberger, Tim Terrill and Harold Martin.
