Richard E. Moore, 83

Richard E. Moore, 83, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday, July 5, 2025, surrounded by his family, at St. Joseph Main, Lexington.
Born March 28, 1942, he was the son of the late William “Wes” and Helen Gay Moore.  He worked hard to provide for his family as a farmer and factory  employee.  He was a member of the Slate Creek Pentecostal Church of God, where he was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Sue Williams Moore; two daughters, Melissa Martin and Jill (Charlie) Runnels, both of Mt. Sterling; a son,  Chace Lopez of Mt. Sterling; three granddaughters, Olivia Marshall, Ashlea Muncy and Elizabeth Walsh; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Welch of Lexington and Sherry McVey of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Crouch; and a brother, Doug Moore.
Service was conducted Wednesday, July 9, at the Slate Creek Pentecostal Church of God with Larry Williams Jr. officiating.  Burial was in Williams Cemetery in Frenchburg.
Pallbearers were Chace Lopez, Charlie Runnels, Smiley Ballard, David Lawson, Ernie Tackitt and Stacy Gross.
Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals was in charge or arrangements.
