Seth Edward Fawns, 34, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Born April 10, 1991, he was the son of Phillip A. Fawns and Mary King Fawns. He studied anthropology in undergraduate and graduated from the University of Kentucky Rosenberg College of Law. He practiced law for nine years and was currently practicing at Kopka Pinkus Dolin Law Office in Lexington. In his free time he enjoyed digging up artifacts or playing board games, and tending to his land, trees and pond. Above all else, he prioritized and cared for his family.
In addition to his parents survivors include his wife, Courtney Johnson Fawns; daughter, Emelia Anne Fawns; son, Eric Finch Fawns; two brothers, Josh (Sam) Fawns and Will (Macy) Fawns of Mt. Sterling; paternal grandparents, Sonny and Nancy Fawns of Mt. Sterling; nieces and nephews, Emerson Fawns, Carter Fawns, Henry Fawns and Jack Fawns, all of Mt. Sterling and Riley Donaruma and Charlie Donaruma of San Antonio, Texas; mother and father-in-law, Anne and William Johnson of Fulton, Mo.; and other extended family.
Service will be conducted at 4 p.m., Friday, April 25, at the Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals Chapel with Grant Cannoy officiating. Visitation will be 1-4 p.m., Friday.
