Ronda Romer Utterback, 68

April 25, 2025

Ronda Romer Utterback, 68, met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Born Jan. 13, 1957, in Emporia, Kans., she was the daughter of Francis and the late Joan Romer.  She was a graduate of Boyd County High School and Ashland Community College.  She was employed as a Senior Staff Accountant with Frontier Housing for over 33 years and retired in 2023.  Affectionately known as Ronnie, she enjoyed many things and lived her life to the fullest. She loved her family and friends and adored her grandchildren, Will and Scarlett, whom she affectionately referred to as “my babies.” Some of her favorite things included Saturday morning breakfast with Will and Scarlett, taking scenic drives, visiting Kentucky State Parks, walking on the beach to collect seashells, photographing lighthouses and quilt barns, and eating butter pecan ice cream and fried shrimp.  She also enjoyed cheering on the University of Kentucky basketball teams and South Carolina women’s basketball team, drinking banana milkshakes, reading a good book, and attending women’s retreats with Catlettsburg Southside Church of the Nazarene.  She had a loving heart and a generous spirit.
In addition to her father those left to cherish her memory include her son, Bradley (Keri) Utterback; grandchildren, Will and Scarlett Utterback; brother, Joe (Patty) Romer; nephew, Doug (Leigh Ann) Romer; niece, Jodi (Eric) Myers; great nieces, Lainey and Brenley Myers; great nephew, Cohen Romer; and a host of extended family members and friends
In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Utterback.

Pallbearers were Brad Utterback, Joe Romer, Doug Romer, Gary Williams, Andy Corey and Marlon Rash.
