In Loving Memory of
Ford Allen Patterson
May 25th, 1951 –
March 4th, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ford Allen Patterson, 73, a devoted partner, father, grandfather, and friend.
Born and raised in Mt. Sterling, he graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Agricultural Science. He was a cattle and tobacco farmer, and his life was defined by loving his family and hard work.  But beyond his determined spirit, he was a man who never met a stranger. He was always willing to lend a hand, offer wisdom, or have you laughing hard with his hilarious sense of humor.  He was a NASCAR enthusiast and loved his faithful dog, Buddy.  His greatest joy was found in the company of his family, whether gathered together for a meal or watching the grandkids play.  He was a man of faith and a man of his word, and his life reflected the values he held dear—honesty, perseverance, and an abiding love for his family and his farm.
Survivors include his partner in life, Martha Patterson; children, Billy Patterson (Taylor), Sarah Patterson, Elizabeth Patterson and Sandra Savage (Tim); grandchildren, Adelynn Martin, Josephine Savage, Koda Patterson, Kyndall Patterson and Preslie Spears, all of Mt. Sterling; sisters, Linda VanMeter of Lexington and Helen Patterson of Mt. Sterling; and a host of family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Patterson and Shirley Osterhaut Patterson.
Service will be conducted for only close friends and family at 11 a.m., Friday, March 14, at The Refinery Church with Pastor Daniel Lykins officiating.
His enduring spirit will continue to inspire future generations, reminding us that a life rooted in hard work, love, and humility leaves a legacy worth following.  Though his hands may rest, his spirit lives on in the land he loved, the family he nurtured, and the values he instilled in all who knew him.
