Larry Wayne Browning, 76

Larry Wayne Browning, 76, of Mt. Sterling, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, at St. Joseph Main Hospital in Lexington, surrounded by his family.
Born April 24, 1948, he was the son of the late Wilson Browning and Addie May Burns. He was proud to serve his country as a Sergeant E5 in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He retired from Vinson and Sons, where he worked as a salesman.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Vandetta Browning; daughter, Denise (Terry) Barnett; daughter-in-law, Crystal Browning-Lewis; three grandchildren, Amber (Duwayne) Branham, Dustin (Taylor) Barnett and Tyler (Janell) Browning; four great-grandchildren, Lincoln Branham, Carson Barnett, Zoey Branham and Colson Barnett; two brothers, Donnie (Angie) Browning and Ricky (Rhonda) Burns; two sisters, Leah Fay Crowe and Vickie Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Travis W. Browning; great-grandson, Easton M. Branham; two brothers, Doug Browning and Jerry Ray Burns; four sisters, Janice Norris, Brenda Montgomery, Nancye Watkins and Joann Jones.
Service was conducted Friday, Jan. 24, at the Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals Chapel, with nephew, Roger Donathan reading the eulogy, and Marion Fawns officiating. Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery with full Military Rites by the Mt. Sterling American Legion Post 22.
Pallbearers were Casey Browning, Duwayne Browning, Eric Jones, Mike Donathan, Daniel Burns, Josh Jamison, Chris Donathan and Donnie Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were Tyler Browning, Dustin Barnett, Duwayne Branham, Roger Donathan, Terry Barnett, Autumn Conyers, Tina Conyers and Teresa Jamison.
Funeral services entrusted to the care of Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals.
