Local family displaced after mobile home fire

A couple with three children and another child on the way has been displaced from their home after a fire. All members of the family were home when the fire broke out, but escaped safely. The fire dept. said the call came in for 975 Ware Chapel Road at 3:34 p.m. Jan. 8. For complete details, see the story on A3. Photo courtesy Montgomery Fire-EMS.

Tatum’s expression, photo at left, likely summed up the feeling of many after the winter storm that hit Kentucky and the local community over the weekend and into the first part of the week. The storm forced the closure of a number of local businesses, schools, caused traveling difficulties on roadways/streets, etc. Her mother, Sierra Hall, said Tatum wasn’t a fan of her first time experiencing snow.
