Hot drive-thru meals to resume at senior center July 20

Beginning July 20, the Montgomery County Senior Center will resume distributing hot meals via a drive-thru distribution method from 11:30 a.m. to noon each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the drive-thru meals will be distributed outside of the senior center facility; the senior center facility remains closed to the public, participants, and volunteers. The Montgomery County Senior Center is located at 302 W. Main St., Mt. Sterling.
If you are interested in receiving a meal via the drive-thru service, please contact the Montgomery County Senior Center at 498-5566 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays, to reserve a meal. Pursuant to Gov. Beshear’s Executive Order (2020-586), masks/face coverings will be required, except for those claiming an exemption listed within the executive order, when picking up a meal.
For additional information regarding senior center eligibility requirements or the drive-thru distribution method, please contact the Montgomery County Senior Center or Gateway Area Development District’s Aging and Disability Resource Center at 855-882-5307.
