An Ezel man arrested in December for allegedly showing up at the Mt. Sterling Pilot store naked is in trouble with the law again.

Tyler Terrill, 23, was arrested Saturday for allegedly robbing a woman of her purse and phone at gunpoint. He is charged with first-degree robbery.

Terrill allegedly approached a woman at a home on Apperson Heights early Jan. 1, pulled a handgun and took her purse and cell phone, Mt. Sterling Police Det. Chris Haddix said.

The woman reportedly told police that the gun looked like a .357 revolver. It turned out to be a silver BB gun, Haddix said.

Twelve hours later at about 8 p.m., police reportedly located Terrill at the Days Inn, where officers allegedly found contents from the purse on him, Haddix said. That reportedly included two debit cards and an ID card from the victim.

Individuals with Terrill at the motel reportedly told police where they could find the gun that had been discarded at Apperson Heights.
Terrill was arrested previously Dec. 12 after he allegedly appeared clad only in socks at the Pilot store.

He was arrested on that occasion on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, first-degree, and indecent exposure.
The Pilot incident occurred a day after he reportedly “appeared manifestly under the influence” at the Mt. Sterling Walmart, according to an arrest citation.

Terrill also allegedly had multiple needles on him. He was charged with public intoxication of a controlled substance for that incident.
Terrill is currently being held at the Montgomery County Regional Jail in connection with the robbery charge.
